I have decided to rename my job "Ultimate Cheerleading." Remember when everything was "Ultimate Whatever?" Well, I bringing it back.
I may never be the mother of a cheerleader (then again, I guess I might. . .) anyway--I am STILL a cheerleader. I kind of always thought I would have a daughter and I would have so much fun as she did stuff I used to do, showing her pictures so she could laugh at my cheerleading uniform, sorority party dresses, etc. But, I have boys. So, instead of reaising a cheerleader--I am continuing to be one. Which, as it turns out, is quite fun.
Maybe that is why I always loved cheering instead of playing the sport. . .I was in training for my grown up life! You should see me today. It is soccer day. I am wearing a pink tshirt that says "I love the coach." The "love" is actually a red heart. Then, attached to shirt are 3, count 'em--3, buttons!! All photos of each of the children holding soccer balls. Hilarious! I will try to get someone to take a picture at one of the games today so I can post it.
Anyway--here is a video that I think describes the life I live today. You've probably seen it, but I can watch it over and over and it is still funny!

That is our job as mom, to be their cheerleader. I have a cheerleader turned dance team member and a football player. I cheer for them both equally. They love to hear R and I cheering for them. E's friends asked her if she was embarassed that we yell and cheer for her and she just smiled and said no, I love it I know my parents love me! Now that statement right there makes it all worth while. A just for the record I was never a cheerleader!
