N got a new haircut recently. The girls at school LOVE it. He looks very Southern California teenage surfer. I love it too. I am surprised at myself, being from small town Texas and married to an Army guy--but I do like letting them have longer hair. Of course, Daddy is not thrilled, but he has relented to my theory that if we let them make choices on things that are not life or death--at age appropriate times, of course--then when we do tell them no about something, they will know we have a reason (other than "because I'm the parent and that's the way I want it!") Also, I feel like they have to learn to make decisions at some point. We either let them practice now, under our guidance, or we mandate everything in their lives until they go to college, and then they get there and have no idea how to do anything! He has relented, mostly because he tires of hearing me talk. . .
Anyway--the second photo is before the haircut, at Around the World Day at school. He is wearing lederhosen I got at a flea market in Germany!! I'm so glad they fit this year, because I know that next year he will REFUSE to wear them! It is cute, though!

Saw the show the other night!!! You were awesome. You totally had the game until the last puzzle. I hate when the final puzzle is worth $6000 because then it is anyone's game. You look fantastic. We never officially met, but we were in Germany when you guys were there. I was pregnant with our second when you were pregnant with your third.
Anyways, you have totally inspired me to join weight watchers.

I love the new haircut! Very "grownup". I need to take A. in. It's just been me hacking away at her hair. She needs a pro. Plus it is literally down to her butt and I'd love to cut it all off and donate it. She throws a fit when I suggest this though. I'll keep working on her.
The new haircut looks very cute on N. And I agree with E, very grownup. I wish we could get away with letting J's hair grow, but it's so thick and just goes everywhere! It's too long right now, and is completely out of control. Love the picture in the Lederhosen, too. So cute!
Hey my comment has nothing to do with this post. I just have to say that we finally got a chance to watch the Tivoed version of you spinning that wheel and you were awesome! I totally thaught that you were fakeing us all out and that you were going to the final puzzle. That little blankity blank blank beside you just got lucky, because really, how often does it EVER land on $5,000? And, Husband was all upset because he didn't get to see S.
