The Kids are Too Damn Smart
In reference to the story of R's tooth below, I started this afternoon talking to him about the idea of the doctor taking out the "special tooth" and how there would be a cut in his mouth and he would get to eat ice cream, etc. Guess what? Two hours later: "Mommy, my tooth hurts. I need to eat my ice cream." Seriously! What do you say to that? I said "Oh no. The ice cream is for after the doctor takes the tooth out. Until then you just get water." Nice, huh? He wandered off. (Probably plotting a new strategy for getting that ice cream!!)
