It's here! Both boys started school today. We all took N. to class, and then we went back later for R.'s "orientation day." J. and I got to stay with him, as class was only 1 hour today. It was fun and his teacher, Ms. V, is just wonderful. I have only been around her a couple of times, but so far she seems to be the kind of person that was put on earth to teach preschool!

When we dropped N. off, we were walking to the playground where they all line up. I think he must have remembered me telling him that I cried after I dropped him off on the first day last year. He was walking right next to me and as we went through the gate, he said "Mom, are you sad?" I said "Nope. Not this year--this year I'm just excited for you!" He got a huge smile on his face and said "Me too!" and ran off to find his friends. Isn't that sweet??
His teacher, Ms. S, seems very nice. We only got a couple of seconds to talk to her and take her picture. I have heard from several moms that she has been here for a long time and she is wonderful to the kids. She seems very nurturing and encouraging. Exactly the kind of environment that N. excels in!

All in all, I think we are off to a good year. I am looking forward to helping in their classes when I can, and to spending some "only child" time with J. I am also hoping the kids will meet some friends who live close and that we can get to know some new families through the kids.
